"Zelensky Sent Lukashenko A Concrete Signal"
Vladimir Zelensky

Kiev is ready to hit the infrastructure from which attacks are launched.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky warned of a new threat from Belarus. We are talking about the deployment of Russian drone control stations.

What role does Lukashenko and the Belarusian army play in this scheme? This is what Charter97.org asked the candidate of philosophical sciences, head of the Ukrainian Center for Belarusian Communications Maxim Pleshko:

- The deployment of Russian drone control stations in Belarus is a direct participation in the provision of military operations against Ukraine. We are talking about military infrastructure that works for the war. Lukashenko's "I have nothing to do with it" statements don't work anymore. If attacks are controlled from your territory, you are in this war.

Factually, Belarus ceases to be a rear base and turns into a space from where hostilities are conducted. And even without the introduction of troops, this is a full-fledged participation in the aggression.

- How can Ukraine respond to this step of Moscow and dictator Lukashenko?

- In such a situation, Ukraine will act in the logic of self-defense. The facilities supporting the attacks are legitimate military targets regardless of their location. And the Ukrainian president's statement, although presented figuratively, actually signals this quite concretely. If other instruments do not work, their defeat is quite a practical option - subject to military expediency.

At the same time, the response will be broader: strengthening of the northern direction of the AFU, development of air defense and REB, diplomatic pressure with a clear fixation of Minsk's role in the war.

Kiev acts in the logic that any use of Belarusian territory for attacks against Ukraine should result in losses rather than advantages for the enemy. Raising the stakes should not give Lukashenko any gain - only new risks and consequences.
