Russia Attacked Ukraine With Nearly A Thousand Drones In 24 Hours

How many were shot down.

On Tuesday, March 24, Russia launched nearly a thousand attack drones across Ukraine. The defenders of the sky managed to destroy most of the enemy targets in many areas of the country.

The AFU Air Force reports that.

As of the evening of March 24, 541 enemy drones had been shot down or suppressed by REB means.

The enemy attacked in waves, starting from the evening of March 23. During the daylight hours of March 24 alone, more than 550 attack drones flew into Ukrainian airspace. The Russians launched not only the usual Shahed, but also Gerbera-type vehicles and other UAV models.

The largest number of targets was recorded in the northern direction. Drones flew in through Chernihiv and Sumy regions, and then flew all over the country. Under attack were the following regions:

Kievshchina and Poltava region;

Nikolaev and Vinnitsa regions;

Oblasts of western Ukraine - from Khmelnytskyi to Lviv.

The military used all available resources to repel the attack. Manned aviation, anti-aircraft drones, electronic warfare units and ground-based air defense systems were involved in the destruction of enemy objects.

Despite the effective work of the defenders, the consequences could not be avoided. The Air Force confirmed 15 facts of hits in different parts of the country.

"The defenders of the Ukrainian sky are doing their best to repel enemy air attacks as effectively as possible," the agency said.
