US Launches Longest-range Artillery Strike On Iran

It was struck at Iranian military infrastructure.

The US has launched the longest-range artillery strike against Iran with precision-guided missiles in the history of the US military. This was announced by the head of the United States Army Central Command (CENTCOM), Admiral Brad Cooper.

"Just two days ago, the U.S. Army launched the longest-range field artillery strike in the history of Army combat operations using high-precision missiles. This strike destroyed Iran's military infrastructure, demonstrating the unprecedented range and destructive power of the U.S. military," he said.

The commander did not specify the range of the strike or say exactly what targets were hit.

Admiral Cooper says Iran's navy no longer goes to sea and tactical aircraft no longer take to the skies. He also says the Islamic Republic has lost the ability to launch missiles and drones with the same intensity.

"So far, we have hit more than 8,000 military targets, including 130 Iranian vessels. My assessment remains the same: Iran's combat capability is rapidly declining as our strikes increase," he said.
