The AFU Struck A Russian A-50 Aircraft

The airplane was on the premises of the company.
On March 17, an A-50 long-range radar detection aircraft was damaged as a result of hitting the facilities of the 123rd aircraft repair plant in the town of Staraya Russa (Novgorod Region, Russia).
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Friday, March 20.
It is noted that the aircraft was on the territory of the enterprise for maintenance and was possibly awaiting modernization.
The General Staff of the AFU also confirmed the defeat of the facilities of the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant in the temporarily occupied territory of the Lugansk region on the night of March 20.
The enterprise is involved in the manufacture of artillery shell casings (casting and primary processing of large caliber blanks), as well as in the production and repair of armored steel for military equipment of the occupation army, the General Staff noted.
In addition, the infrastructure of the Vostochny firing range (Novopetrovka, temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhya region) was hit.
The scale of the damage inflicted and enemy losses are being specified, the AFU General Staff added.
