Kuwait's Defense Ministry announced that several US Air Force planes were shot down over the country in the morning. All crew members reportedly survived and were taken to hospital.

The Iranian news agency Tasnim reported earlier that Iran shot down one US F 15 over Kuwait.

The day before, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) admitted that three American servicemen were killed and five others were seriously wounded in a military operation against Iran.
