Trump Claimed Iranian Authorities Tried To Assassinate Him Twice

The U.S. president said he had "gotten" Iranian authorities "before".

US President Donald Trump has said that Iranian authorities, namely Supreme Leader (Rahbar) and Commander-in-Chief Ali Khamenei, tried to assassinate him twice. The American leader revealed this during a phone conversation with ABC News correspondent Jonathan Karl, the latter reported in X.

"I got him before he got me. They tried twice. Well, I got him first," Trump said of Khamenei.

Karl said it was a reference to what U.S. intelligence believed was a plot to assassinate Trump in 2024.
