The US President has promised to destroy the South Pars gas field.
US President Donald Trump has said that Israel will no longer attack Iran's South Pars gas field if Tehran does not strike Qatar.
This is reported by Charter97.org citing the US leader's Truth Social post.
Trump acknowledged that Israel, "angered by events" in the Middle East, attacked Iran's large South Pars gas field. But says only a "relatively small part of the field" was affected.
He also claims that the US and Qatar knew nothing at all and were not involved in the attack, adding that Iran, did not know about it, causing it to "unjustifiably and unfairly attack part of Qatar's liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility.
Trump now promises that there will be no more such attacks on Iran, but there is all condition already.
"Israel will not launch any more attacks on this extremely important and valuable South Pars gas field, unless Iran decides to recklessly attack a completely harmless person, in this case, Qatar," the US president wrote.
He added that if an attack on Qatar ever happens again, then the US "with or without Israel's help - will destroy the entire South Pars gas field." According to Trump, this destruction would be "with a level of force and power that Iran has never seen before."
"I don't want to authorize this level of violence and destruction because of the long-term consequences it will have on Iran's future, but if the Qatari liquefied natural gas plant is attacked again, I will not hesitate to do so," Donald Trump concluded.
In the meantime, CNN citing Qatar's Defense Ministry writes that Iran has again launched ballistic strikes on the industrial city of Ras Laffan, Qatar's main energy hub. This came just hours after the previous attack and caused damage.
According to QatarEnergy, the previous attack caused significant damage.
