Drones Attacked A Major Chemical Plant In Russia's Stavropol Region

There were dozens of explosions.

On the night of March 19, drones massively attacked the town of Nevinnomyssk in Russia's Stavropol region, where the large chemical enterprise Nevinnomyssky Azot may have come under attack, "Focus" writes.

The plant is considered a large-scale producer of nitrogen fertilizers and ammonia, part of the Eurochemistry group of companies. The drone attack on the plant was reported by OSINT-channels.

"Defense forces are striking the Nevinnomyssk Azot chemical plant, in the city of Nevinnomyssk, Stavropol region. A series of explosions are heard in the industrial zone of the chemical plant," the report said.

Russian Telegram channels reported that explosions in Nevinnomyssk began to sound around 02:00 hours. In total, eyewitnesses counted at least 15-20 loud explosions in the city, most of which were heard near the industrial zone.

Russians complained that the explosions were so strong that windows in homes shook and car alarms went off.

The governor of Russia's Stavropol region has confirmed a drone attack on the region. The Russian official said the drones were attacking the industrial zone of Nevinnomyssk.

"Our air defense forces are repelling an attack by enemy UAVs targeting the industrial zone of Nevinnomyssk. There is a shooting down. Please do not approach the wreckage of the drones," ASTRA media quoted his statement as saying.
