The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has eliminated the commander of the Imam Hussein Division, part of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' (IRGC) Quds Force, Hassan Ali Marwan, five days after his predecessor was eliminated. This was reported by the Israel Defense Forces Press Service.
Marwan was killed in an Israeli strike on Beirut, Lebanon, on March 17. He headed the Imam Hussein Division after eliminating Ali Maslam Tabajeh, who was killed 12 March ago along with his deputy and several other senior militants.
"Marwan was responsible for coordinating the division's activities with senior military officials in both the Hezbollah terrorist organization and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). In addition, he commanded the launching of rockets, drones and missiles into the State of Israel and IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon," the Israel Defense Forces Press Service reported.
