Ukrainians Hit Aircraft Manufacturing Plant Near Ulyanovsk

Aircraft on the premises were struck.

Units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the infrastructure of the Aviastar aircraft factory near Ulyanovsk, which is part of Rostec and provides production of military transport aircraft.

This is stated in a statement by the press center of the Ukrainian General Staff.

"As part of reducing the potential of the Russian aggressor's military-industrial complex, on March 16, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the infrastructure of the Aviastar aircraft factory near the city of Ulyanovsk (Ulyanovsk region, Russian Federation)," the General Staff said.

The enterprise is part of the United Aircraft Corporation (Rostec structure) and provides production of Il-76MD-90A military transport planes, Il-78M-90A refueling planes, as well as maintenance of An-124 Ruslan heavy transport planes.

Preliminary information suggests that the climate shelter, aircraft parking areas, and part of the aircraft on the territory of the enterprise were hit.
