US And Israel Strike Oil And Gas Facilities In Southern Iran

Oil storage tanks and wells are burning.

Israel and the US have struck the Eseluyeh and South Pars oil and gas industry facilities in southern Iran. This was reported by Iran's Tasnim.

"Part of the oil and gas industry facilities near South Pars and Eselouyeh were attacked about an hour ago," the publication said.

Video footage circulating on social media shows puffs of smoke from a fire at oil storage tanks and wells.

Official statements from the authorities have not yet been issued, and no details of the attack are given.

A U.S. Defense Department official confirmed to Axios that Israeli strikes on the South Pars gas facility in southern Iran were coordinated with the Trump administration.

The South Pars gas field is considered the largest in the world. About 70% of all gas produced in Iran is produced there. Part of the field's territory is located in Qatar.
