BMZ Employees Are Transferred To MAZ

There is an acute shortage of workers at the Minsk enterprise.
Employees of Belarus Metallurgical Plant (BMZ) are temporarily sent to work at Minsk Automobile Plant. This was reported to "Zerkalo" by a source familiar with the situation at the enterprise in Zhlobin. Our reporter, disguised as an ordinary citizen, called the personnel departments of both plants. It turned out that the transfers were indeed made at the official request of Minsk, while MAZ itself urgently needs people because of a large order.
According to the source of the newspaper, the management of BMZ began to offer its employees a temporary assignment to the capital's automobile plant with the preservation of average earnings.
To find out the details, the journalist called the personnel department of BMZ, posing as a relative of one of Zhlobin metallurgists. They confirmed that people are indeed sent to Minsk and explained how it works.
- We were simply asked to help, - explained a female employee of the personnel department. - We wrote a letter. From time to time we are approached by many enterprises asking for help, and we conclude contracts with them.
- What is the point of this transfer? Don't you have work or MAZ doesn't have enough people?
- I don't know what their situation is, but they asked for it. We give our people temporarily to be exploited.
- And what about wages? Won't a person lose money?
- He will be paid according to the made norm, but not lower than the average earnings he had here.
In the guise of an ordinary Belarusian who is interested in employment and has heard about the shortage of specialists, the journalist of "Zerkalo" called the personnel service of Minsk Automobile Plant. The enterprise confirmed that it attracts workers from BMZ.
- What is the reason for this? Why is there such a shortage that even from other plants you ask for people?
- Some large orders, a lot of work, - answered at MAZ.
The personnel department assured that it's not about military equipment, but they don't know the details of the order.
