UAE Pledges To Join U.S. Defense Mission In Strait Of Hormuz

A diplomatic adviser to UAE President Anwar Gargash said his country may join a US-led international effort to secure the Strait of Hormuz.

This is reported by The Guardian.

Gargash made his statement while speaking at an online event organized by the US-based think tank Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).

He added that the UAE is not actively negotiating with Iran right now, but is closely monitoring the situation in the region.
