The plant's operations have been halted.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' strike on the oil depot in Labinsk, Krasnodar Krai, on March 16 resulted in almost complete destruction of its tank farm, sources Astra in the region's emergency services said. According to them, after the arrival of four drones, a large-scale fire broke out at the facility, the area of which amounted to 3 thousand m². As a result, 18 out of 20 tanks burned: nine with gasoline and nine with diesel fuel, as well as seven gasoline tankers. No one was injured. At the moment the work of the enterprise has been stopped.
The photo of the fire at the oil depot was published by the Ukrainian monitoring telegram channel Exilenova+. The footage shows fire and huge clubs of black smoke. The head of the Labinsky district, Vladimir Zaburaev, said Tuesday that the burning was continuing and called the situation "stable." Rospotrebnadzor reported that there were no excess concentrations of harmful substances in the air. The oil depot in Labinsk belongs to Yugnefteprodukt LLC and is one of the largest in the region. It holds 9 thousand cubic meters of fuel and supplies the Krasnodar and Stavropol regions, Rostov region and Adygea, including the sale of gasoline AI-80, AI-92, AI-95, diesel and oils from various manufacturers.
Over the past week Ukrainian drones have repeatedly hit fuel and energy facilities in the Krasnodar region. On March 12 and 15, an oil depot in the suburbs of Tikhoretsk burned, the regional operative headquarters reported. In particular, the tanks at the Tikhoretskaya Linear Production and Dispatch Station (LPDS) and the adjacent Tikhoretsk-Nafta terminal were hit.
The Tikhoretskaya LPDS is Transneft's key transshipment hub in southern Russia, providing reception, storage and transportation of oil. The flows of four trunk pipelines converge at the station. The junction plays a strategic role in the distribution of raw materials arriving in the region to the ports of Novorossiysk and Tuapse.
Gazprom reported that on March 10 and 11 the Russkaya, Beregovaya and Kazachya compressor stations, which supply the Turkish and Blue streams, were attacked. All three are located in the Krasnodar region.
