A New Player May Appear On The Belarusian Tobacco Market

J.S.S Tobacco is backed by a Syrian businessman.

According to the National Center for Intellectual Property, in January this year, the British tobacco company J.S.S Tobacco granted the Belarusian firm Technoalfagroup license rights to three of its brands, noted the site "Belarusians and the market".

The matter concerns the brands of cigarettes Manchester, Manchester Nano and Manchester Nano Uno, produced by J.S.S Tobacco at the factory in the free economic zone of Jebel Ali in Dubai. The license agreement with Technoalfagroup expires in 2029.

The owner of J.S.S Tobacco is Syrian businessman Haled al-Mahamid.

As for his partner in Belarus, Technoalfagroup, established in 2021, is known as a wholesale supplier of Italian fashion products to the markets of Belarus and Russia.
