And thwarted the RF offensive.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said in an interview with CNN that his country has regained control over 434 square kilometers of territory and thwarted a new offensive by Russian occupation troops.
He said the enemy had planned to launch the operation in late 2025 and continue it in the spring. "They were preparing an offensive, and we were conducting counter-offensives to prevent Russia from launching a large-scale attack on the battlefield. As a result of the operation at the end of the year, we regained control over 434 square kilometers," Zelensky said.
The president stressed that the steps taken were "very successful." He also added that Russia loses 30,000-35,000 people every month, largely due to the effective use of drones by defense forces on the front lines.
