A Video Has Emerged Of The AFU Striking Kapustin Yar In Russia With Flamingo Missiles

The missiles breached the air defense systems of three regions of the Russian Federation.

Ukraine conducted a launch of four FP-5 "Flamingo" cruise missiles, which took off from launchers in the middle of a snow-covered field, a video on social networks showed. It is indicated that the missiles flew toward the Kapustin Yar training range, but the command has not yet confirmed this, writes Focus.

How did the launch of the flock of cruise missiles take place and what did the launchers look like?"

Video with footage of the Flamingo missile launch appeared on the afternoon of February 5 on the page X of Fire Point co-owner and chief designer Denis Shtilerman. The footage included a field with a group of human observers standing on it. Four launches took place within 1 hour and 20 seconds: first we see a flash, then the rocket takes off rapidly upward, and then turns around and heads for the target horizontally to the ground. The launches took place at night, but during the flashes four launchers are visible, which stand at a distance of 20-50 meters from each other.

Stilerman recalled that the AFU General Staff reported the Flamingo launches at Kapustynoye Yar and stated that the missiles in the video actually flew in the specified direction.

"Here is a video of FP-5 Flamingo missile launches, some of which went to Kapustynoye Yar," the Fire Point chief wrote.

To hit the target, the FP-5 Flamingo missiles would have had to pass the air defense systems of three Russian regions (if flying in a straight line from near, say, Kramatorsk), the DeepState map shows. We are talking about flying through Rostov, Volgograd and Astrakhan regions. At the same time, the Russian Defense Ministry has never reported on FP-5 strikes, but in January it wrote daily about drone attacks on these regions.

It should be noted that on the afternoon of February 5, the Ukrainian command reported an attack by Flamingo cruise missiles that hit the Kapustin Yar training range in Russia's Astrakhan region. It is indicated that it was a series of strikes that took place in January 2026. According to the command, managed to hit hangars with equipment, in addition, the Russians evacuated the personnel of the military unit from the range. The General Staff has not yet published satellite photos of the hit.
