Merz: The Fate Of Ukraine Is Our Fate

The German Chancellor published the post on the occasion of another anniversary since the start of full-scale war.

Russia's war in Ukraine must end with the joint efforts of Europe. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz wrote about this on February 24 in X.

"For four years, every day and every night for Ukrainian women and Ukrainians is a nightmare. And not only for them, but for all of us," the German head of government wrote.

He said that "the war has returned to Europe."

"We will end it only with joint efforts. Because the fate of Ukraine is our fate." ," Merz said in the post.

On Feb. 19, he said that Russian Federation is "in a state of deepest barbarism" and that will not change in the foreseeable future. This will simply "have to be accepted," the politician stated. He said that when he looks at the "blind terror" of the regime in the Russian Federation, he has little hope.

He also ruled out a return of the FRG to gas supplies from Russia, calling it a "fatal strategic dependence" of the German state.
