UN General Assembly Votes For Peace In Ukraine: Lukashenko's Regime Was Against It

The resolution was supported by 107 States.

On 24 February, the UN General Assembly approved the resolution "Supporting lasting peace in Ukraine" initiated by the Ukrainian side. 107 countries voted in favor of the document, 51 abstained, and 12 opposed it.

Belarus was among those who, together with Russia, voted against the resolution. Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cuba, Eritrea, Iran, DPRK, Cuba, Mali, Niger, Nicaragua, Sudan and Eritrea also unequivocally sided with Russia.

The United States of America abstained in the vote. Also among those abstaining were Armenia, China, Hungary, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Serbia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and the monarchies of the Middle East. Azerbaijan ignored the vote and Slovakia voted in favor.
