U.S. Senator: We Can Actually See The Fall Of Regimes In Three Countries

Regimes can change as early as six months.

Within the next six months, Venezuela, Iran and Cuba could get rid of their autocratic regimes and change them to regimes friendly to the United States.

This was reported by RBC, citing a statement by Republican Senator Ted Cruz on CNBC.

The senator said the regimes in the three countries could indeed change within six months. If that ends up being successful, it would actually be the biggest geopolitical shift since the fall of the Berlin Wall in November 1989.

"We are at a point where in the next six months we could actually see regimes in Iran, Venezuela and Cuba fall, and we could see them replaced by governments that want to be friends of America," he said.

Cruz added that there are "a thousand ways" in which things could "go wrong." Therefore, he has no "rosy illusions."

"But if it did, it would be the biggest geopolitical shift since the fall of the Berlin Wall," he concluded.
