Macron Skeptical Of Prospects For Peace In Ukraine Soon

Russia has no will to achieve peace.

French President Emmanuel Macron has said he is "very skeptical" about the possibility of soon reaching a peaceful resolution to Russia's war in Ukraine. He said this at a meeting of a "coalition of the willing," Le Figaro reports.

"I am, to put it mildly, very skeptical about the possibility of achieving peace in the short term," Macron said at the opening of the meeting.

At the same time, he noted that efforts for peace talks "are good to continue." Russia, according to the French president, "does not have the will to achieve peace."
