The Social Security Fund (FSZN) has told about innovations on sick leave. The changes concern individual entrepreneurs, lawyers and notaries, writes "Mirror".

Individual entrepreneurs, lawyers and notaries from 2026 it became easier to get sick leave, specified the head of the department of social insurance and pensions of the Social Security Fund Elena Loseva.

"Previously, to be eligible for a sick leave, it was required to pay contributions for at least 183 days a year and not less than the minimum wage (now it is 858 rubles. - Editor's note.)," - specified in the FSZN.

Now there is no minimum bar on days. Everyone who paid contributions in the previous year is entitled to the benefit. Even if a person worked only one day a year.

The amount of sick pay depends on the income for the previous year.

"Your entire net income for the previous year (from which contributions were paid) is divided by 365 days. If you registered not from the beginning of the year - the income is divided by the number of days from the date of registration to December 31", - noted in the FSZN and added: - The amount of benefit depends on the length of service (the period of payment of contributions from January 1, 2003). The length of service of 10 years and more - 100% of the average daily income, less than this period - 80%".
