On the fourth anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Antonio Costa arrived in Kiev on February 24 - the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
She wrote about it in her X.
Fon der Leyen noted that this was her tenth trip to Ukraine since the full-scale war began.
She added that she had come to the Ukrainian capital to "reaffirm Europe's unwavering support for Ukraine financially, militarily and during this harsh winter."
"To underline our continued commitment to Ukraine's just struggle. And to send a clear message to both the Ukrainian people and the aggressor: we will not back down until peace is restored. Peace on Ukraine's terms," the EC head emphasized.
In turn, Costa said that the purpose of the trip to Kiev was "to ensure a just and lasting peace in Ukraine."
In Kyiv for the tenth time since the start of the war.
