A user with the nickname miroz.rus, signed as Mikhail Glukhov, in the social network Threads addressed the Belarusians with the question: "If tomorrow the country holds a referendum on joining Russia, would you agree?"

The majority of answers to the resident of Russian Cheboksary were short and categorical: "No" or "Never".

But most of the comments were harsh and emotional: many users advised the author to "follow the Russian warship," sent rude messages and wondered if he had "missed a pill."
