It Became Known Why Minsk Subway Has Blue Trains

The Met has revealed a secret.

Since the launch of Minsk subway in 1984, electric trains have always been blue. But that doesn't mean that other colors for the coloring of subway trains were not considered, reports "Euroradio".

The Minsk Metro told about why they decided on blue cars.

The color was chosen at the Mytishchi Machine-Building Plant. It supplied trains for the subways of the Soviet Union long before the subway in Minsk, and all of them were blue-blue.

"This color is considered the most calm for perception. The coloring of all modifications of the trains of the Mytishchi plant remained unchanged, the cars were blue-blue," the Minsk Metro said.

But in the late 1970s, the designers of the Mytishchi Machine Building Plant experimented with coloring. The cars of experimental trains were not only blue, but also yellow and green. But after the experiment, they settled on the familiar blue variant.
