Two Explosions And More Than 20 Victims: New Details Of The Terrorist Attack In Lviv

The name of the 23-year-old patrolwoman who died has been released.
In Lviv as a result of explosions killed a policewoman, another 24 people were injured. Law enforcers released new details of the incident, which was qualified as a terrorist attack.

How the explosions occurred
According to the police, at about 00:30 the special line 102 received a report about breaking into a store on Danilishina Street. When a patrol police crew arrived at the scene, there was an explosion.
Subsequently, when a second crew arrived at the scene, another explosion was heard.
It was preliminary determined that improvised explosive devices had gone off.
Victims and consequences
A 23-year-old policewoman died as a result of the explosions. Also 24 people were injured.
In addition, a service car of the patrol police and a civilian vehicle were damaged.
An investigation team, explosion technicians and other specialized services worked at the site. The injured are provided with necessary medical care.
A criminal proceeding under part 2 of article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - a terrorist act that caused serious consequences has been opened. Pre-trial investigation is carried out by the SBU Department in Lviv region.
The law enforcers are now establishing all the circumstances of the incident and the persons involved in its organization.
What is known about the deceased
According to the police, during the night terrorist attack in Lviv killed 23-year-old policewoman Viktoria Shpilka. The girl came from Volyn, but together with her parents moved to Kherson.
Viktoria graduated from Lviv State University of Internal Affairs. First she served in Kherson region, since 2023 in Lviv region. Last fall she got married - her husband is also a patrolman.
Terrorist attack in Lviv
We recall that tonight there were several explosions in the center of Lviv. At first it was reported about at least one dead and 14 wounded. And the city's mayor Andriy Sadovy immediately claimed a terrorist attack.
