Ukrainian units carry out counterattack and assault actions.

On Gulyaypol and neighboring directions in Zaporizhzhya region, as a result of counterattack and assault actions, control over the territory of more than 300 square kilometers has indeed been restored.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to a comment by the speaker of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine Vladyslav Voloshyn.

- Ukrainian units are carrying out counterattack and assault actions, having reduced a part of the so-called "gray zone", and restraining the enemy's attempts to conduct attacks on our positions, - Voloshyn noted.

He said that since the beginning of the operation, which started at the end of January 2026, they managed to restore control over the territory of 300 square kilometers. Including restored control over "a number of settlements on the administrative border of Zaporizhzhya and Dnipropetrovsk regions."

"While the active phase of the operation continues, it is somewhat premature to talk about its final results," Voloshyn added.

At the same time, according to Voloshyn, a total of up to 50 military clashes take place daily on Gulyaypol and Alexandrovsk directions.
