In the middle of the week, the creator of the project "Kinakong" Andrzej Kim was detained in Minsk, reports the human rights center "Viasna".

The cultural manager was detained together with his wife. The reasons for the arrest are unknown.

"Kinacong" was engaged in professional translation and dubbing of films, cartoons, trailers and videos into the Belarusian language, as well as held film screenings in different cities of Belarus.

The project became one of the most famous initiatives, it popularized Belarusian-language dubbing and made world cinema available in Belarusian.

In addition, the human rights activists know that mass detentions of publishers and book distributors took place in Minsk this week.

According to "Viasna," at least 10 people were detained in total - some of them were sent to "day".
