Jack Lopresti will defend Ukraine with a gun in his hands.

The 56-year-old former deputy head of the Conservative Party of Great Britain Jack Lopresti has joined the 12 Special Forces Brigade "Azov". This was announced by himself, as well as in the press service of the brigade on Thursday, February 19.

"It is a great honor for me to begin service in the 12 special purpose brigade "Azov" of the National Guard of Ukraine, a unit that has become a symbol of resilience and uncompromising principles," - wrote Lopresti in social network X.

The press center of "Azov" said that Jack Lopresti was also the parliamentary head of the group Conservative Friends of Ukraine. He actively advocated for an increase in military aid to Ukraine. In particular, Lopresti directly interacted with the UK Ministry of Defense procurement hub in Abbey Wood.

After losing the July 2025 election, Lopresti came to Ukraine in November and joined the International Legion as an intelligence officer.
