What is known about the Ilysk refinery
The Ilysk refinery is one of the medium-capacity oil refineries located in the village of Ilyskoy in Krasnodar Krai.
The refinery processes about 3 million tons of oil per year and produces diesel fuel, gasoline, fuel oil and liquefied gas, supplying the regional market and logistical supplies via Black Sea ports.
In the course of 2025-2026, the Ilysk refinery was repeatedly hit:
January 1, 2026: the AFU confirmed a strike on the refinery as part of systemic attacks on Russia's oil infrastructure.
November 19, 2025: Ukrainian drones struck the Ilya refinery, one of the "deep" attacks on Russia's oil infrastructure.
September 7, 2025: drones caused a fire in the technological part of the refinery.
Earlier in 2025: a strike using SBU and SDF drones, which resulted in significant destruction of part of the technological installations.
Russian oil companies have suffered losses of more than 1 trillion rubles ($12.94 billion) from Ukrainian drone strikes on oil refineries.
According to Bloomberg calculations based on statements by Ukrainian and Russian officials, Ukraine has carried out 120 attacks on oil facilities in Russia over 2025.
