"The Founder Of The DNR" Was Accused Of Discrediting The Russian Army
Pavel Gubarev

Akhmat's commander could have written a denunciation against him.

The former "people's governor of the DNR", terrorist Pavel Gubarev has been charged with discrediting the Russian army. An administrative case under part 1 of Article 20.3.3.3 of the Administrative Code was registered in Moscow's Tagansky District Court on February 18, according to the Moscow City Court filing.

The article provides for a fine of up to 50,000 rubles. Gubarev himself said in a conversation with RBC that he did not know the reasons for the protocol. "Whether this is someone's intent, I don't know, I can only assume that someone didn't like my texts. I assess the fact as irredeemable stupidity," he said, noting that he expects "no consequences" for himself.

In his Telegram channel, Gubarev suggested that the denunciation against him was written by Apti Alaudinov, deputy head of the Main Military and Political Department of the Russian Armed Forces and commander of the Akhmat special forces.

Pavel Gubarev was one of the leaders of pro-Russian militants in Donbass in the spring of 2014. At that time, he was also proclaimed the "people's governor of the DNR." He later left for Russia, and after the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, according to his own words, he went to the front. In 2023, he joined the "Club of Angry Patriots," founded by former "DNR Defense Minister" Igor Strelkov (Girkin). Club members support the war but criticize the Russian authorities for, in their opinion, not fighting effectively enough.
