The statement was made by the country's foreign minister.
If necessary, Estonia is ready to deploy allied nuclear weapons on its territory.
The country's Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said this, ERR.
He emphasized that Europe should not reject NATO's supranational nuclear deterrent.
"We are not against the deployment of nuclear weapons on our territory. We do not have a doctrine that would exclude it if NATO finds it necessary according to our defense plans to deploy, for example, nuclear weapons on our territory as well," the Estonian minister said.
February 15, Politico reported that several European countries have publicly announced their intention to join talks on establishing a joint nuclear deterrent in Europe in addition to the U.S. one.
