Zelensky revealed the details.
Ukraine is imposing sanctions against Alexander Lukashenko, the country's President Vladimir Zelensky reported on February 18.
"Today Ukraine has applied a package of sanctions against Alexander Lukashenko, and we will significantly intensify our opposition to all forms of his facilitation of the murder of Ukrainians. We will work with our partners so that this will have a global effect," Zelensky said.
He attributed this to the support that official Minsk gives to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
So, according to the politician, in the second half of 2025, the Russians deployed a system of repeaters in Belarus to control attack drones, which increased the Russian army's ability to strike the northern regions of Ukraine - from Kiev to Volyn.
"Some of the strikes, in particular on energy facilities and railroads in our regions, the Russians would not have been able to carry out without such assistance from Belarus," Zelensky emphasized.
He noted that more than 3,000 Belarusian enterprises work for the war and supply the Russian Federation with machinery, equipment and components, which are categorized as critically important.
"In particular, these are the components for the production of missiles that terrorize our cities and villages," Zelenski explained.
He recalled that the construction of infrastructure for the deployment of the Russian medium-range missile system "Oreshnik" on the territory of Belarus is also ongoing, calling it a threat not only to Ukrainians, but to all Europeans.
"Alexander Lukashenko has not only provided the territory of Belarus for "Oreshnik." Last year, the country's companies supplied Russia with critical assemblies, components and mechanical bases for the weapon. This continues into 2026.
Alexander Lukashenko has been trading Belarus' sovereignty for continued personal power for quite some time now, helping the Russians circumvent the world's sanctions for this aggression, actively justifying Russia's war, and now increasing his own involvement in scaling and prolonging the war. There will be special consequences for this," Zelensky warned.
