How The AFU Counterattacks In Zaporizhzhya Region

The Commander-in-Chief of the AFU visited Ukrainian defenders who are involved in the fighting in the South.

The AFU commander-in-chief Alexandr Syrsky visited Ukrainian defenders who are engaged in battles in the Alexandrovsky direction and in the area of Gulyaypol, and reminded about the main priority.

Glavcom noted that the situation in the southeastern directions remains difficult.

"The enemy does not abandon its intentions to break through our military orders, conducts constant attacks, including with the use of military equipment, but without significant success. The soldiers of the Defense Forces hold certain lines and positions, thwart the enemy's intentions and inflict significant losses in manpower and equipment," his statement reads.

Syrsky stressed that the AFU units carry out effective counterattacks, assault actions, using unmanned systems, artillery and means of electronic warfare.

"I emphasized the first priority: it is extremely important to liberate territories, however, we must first of all protect the lives of our soldiers, preserve the combat effectiveness of units and subdivisions," the general said.

He also reminded commanders that when placing and appointing military personnel to positions, their professional experience, qualifications and special skills acquired in civilian life should be taken into account.
