The country's energy resources are running out.
In Cuba, the power goes out again and again. Schools and factories have been forced to stop working, and even hospitals are cutting back their hours to conserve energy, which is almost gone. The country is experiencing one of the worst crises of recent decades, writes Bild.
While the world is mesmerized by Trump and Greenland, Trump and Iran, and more revelations about the Epstein case, an entire country in the Caribbean is crumbling. Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manhã reports the details and the reason: Venezuela is no longer supplying Cuba with oil. The lifeblood of the Cuban economy has been cut, and without these supplies, the socialist state is suffocating.
The daily lives of Cubans have been plunged into darkness. Without electricity, factories, schools and hospitals cannot operate normally, and the tourist industry, Cuba's last major source of income, is collapsing. Airlines are canceling flights, kerosene is in short supply.
It is feared that food will soon run out, and then the people may revolt. The U.S. is not rattling weapons or sending a navy to Cuba's shores, and yet President Donald Trump is close to accomplishing what none of his predecessors has achieved in 70 years - the collapse of the Cuban regime. But for now, the Caribbean nation is fighting for survival.
