There are up to 25 occupants per one dead Ukrainian.
In 2025, the Russian Federation lost about 415,000 soldiers in the war against Ukraine, taking into account the dead and wounded. In 2024, this figure was slightly higher - 430 thousand. The total number of eliminated occupants for the entire time of the full-scale invasion exceeded 1.2 million.
This was stated by the Bloomberg agency, referring to the estimates of Western officials. According to this information, the number of aggressor casualties averaged 1,130 per day in December 2026 and rose to 35,000 in a month.
"The higher number of casualties is explained by more successful Ukrainian drone operations," the journalists noted.
The Bloomberg interlocutors believe that Russia will probably be able to sustain its combat operations in Ukraine during this year thanks to recruitment campaigns, industrial production and support from other countries.
The ratio of Russian casualties per Ukrainian Defense Force casualties on some parts of the front line has risen from about 6 to 25 per one, according to the United Kingdom's Defense Secretary John Healey.
"Putin likes to give the impression that they are making continuous and inevitable progress. But he is weaker than he was and increasingly reliant on foreign fighters," the UK MoD chief emphasized.
