Starlink Shutdown Reduced Russian Federation Kamikaze Drone Strikes

The speaker of the AFU reported communication and control failures among Russian troops.

The Russians have become less attacked by kamikaze drones in the Zaporizhzhya direction after the Starlink terminals were switched off, the speaker of the Southern Defense Forces Vladyslav Voloshyn said on air Kiev24.

"There have become fewer kamikaze drone strikes. In addition, after the shutdown, the enemy had certain problems with communication and control of infantry assaults," he said.

He added that the Russian occupiers have already found some alternative means and continue to assault more actively. "But there were certain problems. I think they still exist at some levels, but the enemy has not stopped acting insidiously and has not stopped its activity," Voloshin said.

He confirmed that the enemy had cases of "Friendly fire," that is, strikes on their own, after shutting down Starlink terminals. "According to our intelligence, according to intercepts, there were indeed one or two cases. But we cannot say that it was a mass phenomenon," he emphasized.
