Belarusians Told How The Sums In Vouchers Changed After The January Frosts

The least fortunate are the "deadbeats."

Residents of apartment buildings have started to receive receipts for January utility bills. Everyone is particularly interested in the "heating" column, which this winter consumes considerably more energy because of the frosty weather. The publication Office Life studied the vouchers from different houses in Minsk and compared the amounts in them with a warmer December 2025.

First, the publication studied the situation with the old Khrushchev houses. For example, utility payments in a two-room apartment with an area of 45.8 square meters in a house built in the 1960s on Dolgobrodskaya Street (after overhaul, but without a "fur coat") in December were 68.75 rubles (heating cost 16.45 rubles). In January, the total amount rose to 78.49 rubles (heating - 26.15 rubles). Fat "got heavier" only by 9.74 rubles.

Slightly less than 10 rubles added "communal" and in a "one-bedroom" (33.9 sq. m.) in the area of Chelyuskintsev Park: heating in December there cost 15.34 rubles, in January - 25.2 rubles. The total amount in the voucher is now 72 rubles.

Apartments in "panel houses" turned out to be more difficult to heat. So, "communal" in a "three-room" apartment with the area of 70 square meters in a panel house on Angarskaya Street in December cost 113.31 rubles (heating - 36.25 rubles), and in January already 153.38 rubles (heating amounted to 66.99 rubles). The vest itself added at once 40 rubles.

The inhabitants of a modern "two-compartment" with an area of 54.1 square meters in a panel house of 2019 year of construction on Olesheva Street for December paid 104.34 rubles (heating - 25.63 rubles), and for January - 120.05 rubles (heating - 41.25 rubles). That is, "communal services" cost 15.71 rubles more expensive. By the way, there are heat regulators and meters on the radiators in this apartment, but the owners did not take readings from them, and paid according to the average.

The least fortunate are those who pay for housing and utilities services at so-called full tariffs (we are talking about those whom the authorities considered "deadbeats"). For example, the owner of a 70.79-square-meter "three-bedroom" in a 1970s "panel house" on Asanalieva Street paid 280.16 rubles (heating - 199.43 rubles) in December and 371.43 rubles (heating - 301.36 rubles) in January. As a result, January turned out to be more expensive than December by more than Br90!

The amounts in the vouchers of Belarusians could be much higher. "Communal services" were to rise on January 1, but the increase was postponed to March 1 amid severe frosts. According to approximate calculations, this will allow the owners of a typical "two-bedroom" to save 22 rubles on payment of vouchers for January and February.
