The AFU Hit One Of The Largest Ports In Southern Russia

In addition to the Taman port, Sochi and the Anapa district were hit.

Ukraine's armed forces have attacked one of the largest ports in southern Russia - the Black Sea port of Taman in Krasnodar Krai, writes The Moscow Times .

A massive drone attack on the night of February 15 damaged a tank of oil products, a warehouse and terminals, the region's governor Veniamin Kondratiev said in his Telegram channel. According to him, two people were injured and hospitalized.

The Krasnodar region's operational headquarters specified that a tank with oil products caught fire due to the fall of UAV debris. As of 10:00 Moscow time on February 15, the fire area was 2.2 thousand square meters. In extinguishing involved 165 people and 45 units of equipment, including the forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Besides the port of Taman, Sochi and the village of Yurovka in the Anapa district were hit. Sochi Mayor Andrey Proshunin called the incident one of the longest and most massive attacks on the city. According to him, air defense systems destroyed dozens of drones over the Black Sea, and destruction of strategic infrastructure was avoided, but windows in a private house in a garden community were smashed. In the village of Yurovka, a boiler house was damaged, but there was no fire, Kondratiev said.

The Taman port, located in the village of Volna in the Temryuksky district, is one of the key export hubs for transshipment of oil products. As Reuters recalls, in December 2025 it was already subjected to a drone attack, then four tanks with oil products caught fire, two berths, two ships and a pipeline with fuel oil were damaged. The projected transshipment volume of the Taman transshipment complex is 20 million tons of oil and oil products per year. According to industry sources, about 4.16 million tons of oil products will be exported through the port in 2025.
