Georgian Diplomats To Be Banned From Traveling To EU Without Visas

The European Commission has launched the procedure of suspension of visa-free regime for Georgian diplomats within the framework of sanctions against Tbilisi. This was stated by EC spokesman Markus Lammert.

"EU countries have already given their positive assessment of this decision, now the European Commission will be able to take the next steps, which we will announce shortly," Lammert said.

In addition, EU foreign policy spokesman Anwar al-Anouni accused Georgia of "departing from democratic norms."
