On the afternoon of February 11, a student at a technical school in Anapa came to the educational institution with an "unidentified" weapon and opened fire in the hallway, the Krasnodar region's Interior Ministry reported. According to the region's governor, Veniamin Kondratyev, one person was killed - a security guard who "was the first to take the blow" and prevented the attacker from going further into the building. Also, two people were injured of medium severity, among them one student. The exact number of injured is being clarified. "At present, the attacker is detained. <...> The circumstances of the incident and motives for the actions of the detainee are being clarified," the Interior Ministry said.

According to Baza, the shooting took place at the Industrial Technical School on Promyshlennaya Street. It was arranged by 17-year-old Ilya O., who stole the hunting rifle of one of his relatives to carry out the attack. He had with him a cartridge case with dozens of cartridges. In total, he managed to make at least five shots before he was detained by Rosgvardia officers who arrived at the call of the guard of the technical school. Two days before the attack, Ilya O. published in his social networks photos and videos of criminals who had previously committed skulshooting. "Beware of the news" also found that the teenager played a lot of Dota 2, sat in intimate chat rooms, where he was constantly looking for a "mistress". Before the attack, he wrote in a status in Telegram: "There will be no innocents this day, any brat that gets in my way will die." This is the fifth attack by an armed teenager on an educational institution in Russia since the beginning of the year.

The Moscow Times recalls that on January 22 in Nizhnekamsk, a 13-year-old schoolboy came to Lyceum No. 37 with a knife and attacked the cleaning lady. The woman received slash wounds, Tatarstan's Interior Ministry reported. The teenager also set off firecrackers in the corridor. After that, he was detained by the Rosgvardiya. In addition to the knife, the schoolboy had a mask and tactical gloves.

February 3, a 14-year-old schoolgirl in the town of Kodinsk, Krasnoyarsk Krai, stabbed a female peer while trying to attack her teacher. On the same day, a ninth-grader at Ufa's Gymnasium No. 16 fired a strikeball rifle at a teacher and classmates; no one was seriously injured. According to a statement by Ufa administration head Ratmir Mavliev, the attacker was subjected to bullying.

February 4 at Krasnoyarsk School No. 153, an eighth-grade student threw a burning rag into the classroom and attacked classmates with a hammer. According to the regional Health Ministry, seven students were injured. The Investigative Committee has opened criminal cases of attempted murder and negligence. The suspect has been detained.

After a series of attacks on educational institutions, the deputy chairman of the State Duma's family protection committee, Tatiana Butskaya, blamed the media and social media for what was happening and called for a ban on detailed coverage of such incidents. "Urgently stop bringing information about each case in all details to the media. Photos and videos from the scene of the tragedy, posts of the attacker on social networks, etc. This information has a viral spread," - said the MP.
