The Russian military is caught in a trap.
Russian propaganda channels are circulating a letter from the mother of a Russian military officer who found himself with a group of occupants surrounded by the AFU near Kupyansk. The woman writes by hand, addressing Putin personally, begging him to save her son and his fellow soldiers, "Dialogue" noted.
In the letter, she says that the group of Russian military personnel is in a difficult situation, virtually completely surrounded. According to her, the fighters are left without help and support, and the situation is getting worse by the day. She asks Putin and the Defense Ministry to intervene, emphasizing that the issue is about "children" who need to be removed urgently.

The letter is being actively circulated by Z-channels, accompanied by comments about the "difficult situation" and calls "not to leave the boys behind." However, there is no official confirmation from the Russian Defense Ministry, nor is there any indication that anyone is actually going to carry out a rescue operation.
The situation looks particularly cynical against the background of this appeal. Earlier, Russian authorities and propaganda claimed that Kupyansk was allegedly under control and that the reports about the encirclement were a "fake" and a "throw-in".
