Elon Musk personally took action.
American businessman Ilon Musk said he has taken steps to stop unauthorized use of the Starlink satellite internet service by Russia.
He wrote this in comments under a post by Ukraine's Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov on social media X.
"Let me know if you need to do something else," Musk noted.
Fedorov responded by saying that the first actions are already yielding tangible results. According to him, Ukraine continues to work closely with the SpaceX team.
"We are working closely with your team on the next important steps. Thank you for being with us," the defense minister wrote.
On January 23, the media reported that Russian troops were increasingly using Starlink on attack drones in an attempt to bypass the Ukrainian air defense system.
The same day, Mikhail Fedorov said that the Ukrainian Defense Ministry had promptly contacted SpaceX to resolve the problem.
