There is a dead foreigner.
Russian occupiers today, January 9, hit civilian ships that were sailing near Ukrainian ports. A Syrian citizen was killed in the attack.
This was reported by "RBC-Ukraine" citing Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister of Community Development Alexei Kuleba in Telegram.
According to Kuleba, a Russian strike drone hit a vessel flying the foreign flag of St. Kitts and Nevis (a country in the eastern Caribbean Sea). It was on its way to load grain cargo within the Ukrainian grain corridor.

"As a result of the attack, unfortunately, there is a dead crew member - a Syrian citizen. This is a terrible war crime," the deputy prime minister emphasized.
He added that near the port of Odessa, the Russians hit a ship that was sailing under the flag of the Comoros Islands. It was carrying soybeans. According to preliminary information, there are injured. Rescuers were sent to the scene.
"This is yet another evidence that Russia deliberately beats up on civilian objects, on international shipping, on food logistics," Kuleba said.
