US President Donald Trump signed a memorandum withdrawing the United States from 66 international organizations.
It was reported on the White House website.
According to Trump's executive order, the United States will cease its participation in the work and funding of 31 UN entities and 35 organizations outside the UN.
The list was formed based on the U.S. Secretary of State's findings regarding "organizations, conventions, and treaties that are contrary to the interests of the United States," as noted.
The list includes the Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the Peacebuilding Fund among the UN entities.
The order also provides for the U.S. withdrawal from the European Hybrid Threat Center, the International Institute for Justice and the Rule of Law, the Venice Commission, the Commission on Environmental Cooperation, the International Renewable Energy Agency, etc.etc.
The list also mentions the Science and Technology Center in Ukraine.
Reminder, at the beginning of his second term, US President Donald Trump ordered the withdrawal from the World Health Organization.
Trump also suspended US foreign aid for 90 days to review programs.
