A private helicopter carrying millionaire Ilyas Gimadutdinov has crashed in Russia. He is the owner of the Tattranscom company, which provides transportation services to Gazprom and Rosneft.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Russian media.
A private helicopter crash near the Ashatli Park recreation center in the Perm region of the Russian Federation on January 7. Two people were killed during the crash.
According to Telegram channel Baza, the victims of the crash were Ilyas Gimadutdinov, a Perm millionaire and founder of the Tattranscom transportation company, and Elmir Konyakov, head of the same firm's vehicle convoy.
The Robinson R44 Raven helicopter, which belonged to the company, was making an unauthorized flight.
The cause of the accident could have been engine icing. Social networks also posted footage from the scene of the accident, showing that the helicopter was caught on cables at a ski resort.
The Central Interregional Department of Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia is conducting an investigation into the accident.
Tattranscom is engaged in transportation services in several regions of Russia, serving the oil and gas sector.
