Whitkoff Saw 'hope' After Meeting Putin Envoy

The U.S. special envoy called the talks "productive."

U.S. Presidential Special Envoy Steve Whitkoff reported "constructive and productive meetings" with the Russian ruler's special envoy Kirill Dmitriev.

He wrote this on the X network.

"Today in Florida, Russian Special Envoy Kirill Dmitriev had productive and constructive meetings as part of U.S. mediation efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine," he wrote.

In addition to himself, he said, the U.S. delegation included Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Jared Kushner and White House Senior Advisor Josh Grunbaum.

"This meeting gives us hope that Russia is working to secure peace in Ukraine and is grateful to the president of the United States for his important role in finding a lasting and lasting peace," Whitkoff wrote.
