"Objects" From Belarus Flew Into Polish Airspace At Night

On the night of January 30-31, objects, which the military "with a high degree of probability" identified as balloons, flew into the airspace of Poland from the direction of Belarus. This was reported by the press service of the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces in the social network X.

"The flights of objects were continuously monitored by military radar systems. In order to ensure safety, temporary restrictions were imposed on the use of part of the airspace of the Podlaskie Voivodeship for civil aviation. These measures were preventive in nature and in accordance with the procedures in force. No threat to the security of Polish airspace was recorded," the Operational Command said.

The agency noted: the incident is another "in a series of hybrid incidents in eastern Poland".

"The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces is in constant contact with relevant agencies and services, exchanging information and providing data on observed objects. The situation is constantly monitored and the Polish Armed Forces remain ready to carry out tasks related to the defense of Polish airspace," the Operational Command added.
