Zelensky: UAE Discussed Energy Truce

Kiev expects the implementation of the agreements.

The Ukrainian delegation discussed the possibility of an energy truce during talks with the United States and Russia in Abu Dhabi. Kiev expects that the agreements will be implemented.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said this, Charter97.org reported, citing his Twitter post.

"An important statement by President (US President Donald, - ed.) Trump about the possibility to give security to Kiev and other Ukrainian cities from Russian strikes for the duration of these winter cold weather. Energy is the basis of life, and we appreciate the efforts of our partners to help us protect life," he said.

Zelensky added that delegations in Abu Dhabi discussed the energy truce.

"We expect that the agreements will be implemented. De-escalation steps contribute to a real movement towards the end of the war," he added.
