A point was taken away from the Belarusian tennis player.

In the Australian Open semifinal match between Belarus' Arina Sobolenko and Ukraine's Elina Svitolina, a rare scandal occurred.

With the score at 2-1 in the first set, Svitolina's serve exchanged backhand shots. Arina hit a shot and let out the usual groan that accompanies almost every shot she hits.

This time the umpire stopped the game and awarded the point to Svitolina, believing that Sobolenko's screaming was an obstacle to the Ukrainian.

The umpire confirmed her decision by saying that after the initial groan, Arina made a sound in the middle of the game: "You made a 'Ooooo-a-ya' sound. It's not a normal sound."

The match lasted 1 hour and 18 minutes and ended with a 6-2, 6-3 victory for the Belarusian. By the way, Svitolina did not shake Sobolenko's hand again after the defeat.
